NYVT Media originated in 2019 when Capital Region Independent Media, a company founded upon a passion for small community journalism, purchased Manchester Newspapers of Granville, NY. Manchester Newspapers, which had been a family business for over a century, housed 5 newspapers and over 40 specialty publications local to the Southern Adirondacks of New York and the Lakes Region of Vermont.
